Getting to Almeria (working Hol)

just wondered on what peoples suggestions on how it would be be (and cheapest) to get to almeria in spain for a working holiday, a friend of mine has just brought a 4 bed house out there and wants me to go over there for as long as i wish in june to put up all fixtures and fitting at windows and to make up beds and wardrobes. i would require to take my tools with me and also several fittings for the windows.
not sure if
a) getting a cheap flight, shipping items out there and hiring a van out there
b) getting the ferry and take a long drive
c) get ferry and get onto car train thing from calis to spain border overnight
not sure which of these would be best (if any) and how much the best of these is likely to cost
your suggestions are welcomed
