I have a positive balance on my Egg Money Card but a negative balance on my Egg Card. How can I transfer online from my Egg Money to pay off my egg card?

I have only Egg Money. My first thought is to make a BT from your Egg Card to Egg Money. See Egg Money admin (on the left) > Transfer a balance0

I am trying to transfer FROM my Egg Money into my Egg card to pay a debt off!0

I don't want to transfer the monies from my savings or current account into my Egg Card either. Any suggestions?0

All I am asking is there a way of transfering monies ONLINE between Egg Money to pay off my Egg Card within the egg online system. No complications please!
I am not asking for SBT or anything. Why should I pay a BT fee from one Egg account into another?
PS - Why does balance = debt? :T0 -
SBT is when you transfer money to a current account. I am trying to explain you how to transfer money from one credit card to other credit card. Do what I say. In online banking for your Egg Money go to Egg Money admin on the left. Then chose Transfer a balance. Then chose Credit card or store card . Then give your Egg Card 16-digit number and amount you want to transfer. Simple.AQUA-IAN wrote:It seems I'm definately not as clever as you!

Not always. But in 'Balance Transfer to a credit card' context 'Balance' is debt. For example, when credit card A offers 0% on BTs for N months, they offer in fact to pay off your debt to some other card B (i.e. transfer the balance from B to A because after this you owe to A) and let you not to pay interest during first N months.PS - Why does balance = debt?0 -
But the point I am making is will I be charged for this! I mean from EGG to EGG!!!0

Egg Money doesn't charge for BTs.AQUA-IAN wrote:But the point I am making is will I be charged for this! I mean from EGG to EGG!!!
Egg Card doesn't charge for BTs after introductory period too, although this is irrelevant for you because you make a BT to Egg Money, not to Egg Card.0 -
Just tried to pay off my Egg Card online with a transfer from my Egg Money Card. MESSAGE READS: Transfer of monies between egg cards are not allowed.0

Fundamentally, you can't transfer a balance from Egg Card to Egg Money - which is what you're 'technically' trying to do. This is why Egg Money is not listed in your 'make a one off payment from' box - only your Egg Savings and your external current account are listed.
However, in practice, if you have a larger +ve balance on Egg Money than you have a -ve balance on the Egg Card, you are paying your Egg Card with your own money. There are only 3 ways to draw money off Egg Money...
1. ATM withdrawal
2. Call and ask them to do a BACS transfer (to an external account)
3. Transfer a balance from another card
The Egg Card and Egg Money are primarily credit cards, although you can pre-load Egg Money with your spending money for the month. If you plan on having an extravagant month, they even let you pre-load it with £99,999!
So, what does this mean?...
For me, you only have 3 options...
1. Make a debit card payment to Egg
2. Send Egg the payment by online/telephone banking
3. Make the payment from Egg Savings
Question...
Why the reluctance to pay the Egg Card from your Egg Savings account? After all, it's only paying you 0.5% more interest than you're getting on your +ve balance with Egg Money.
Personally, I wouldn't attempt to move money by balance transferring the Egg Card debt to your Egg Money account because I think Egg's systems will detect that both cards are owned by them.0
