To anyone having to deal with phoney debts and crooks Lowell Portfolio, this is what happened.

I signed up to creditexpert.co.uk and to my horror, Lowell's *had* put a default on there.

Went to Trading Standards in Nottingham (very helpful). :T

Sent an email to Experian hoping they could get this default removed. Two weeks later it's been done. Not marked as "satisfied". Completely removed, as I requested. :T

I'm very happy this is over (it has been dragging on for 5 months).

Just thought I'd post this for anyone to show that a default, if it's wrong *can* be removed and not to let yourself be bullied by these scumbags.

Well done E_Z. I hope Lowell are leaving you alone now, but if they persist you should have no hesitation in reporting them to the OFT as they have no right to pursue any 'debt' which is in dispute, legally unenforceable, or for which they are unable to satisfy a cca request.

The OFT are, now, clamping down on DCAs who blatantly ignore their guidelines:

I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Thanks Rog2. I shall save that link in case they do hassle me again.
Think I can cancel my subscription to Credit Expert now. :cheesy:
