done First Direct, Alliane and Leicester, whats next?

Hi,

I've been a bit of a current account tart, switching A/Cs to get the best incentives. So far I have done FD, with their £100 incentive and A&L, with the same. I have heard that I cannot go for the Abbey 5% deal as I've already got an A&L A/C. firstly, is this true? If it is, what are my options, as far as I can see from the article, that's my lot. If this is my lot, is it worth settling down for a long term current A/C that I like the best? Had a really good service from FD so thinking of returning if I have exhausted all of the introductory offers.

Advice eagerly accepted

Not true. I've been through First Direct and Halifax, I now have A&L and have just this week opened an Abbey 5% account. So go for it!

Open one at Halifax as well as the poster above has pointed out, that way you get 5% interest and a fiver a month!
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.

I have a 13 month old Abbey account that was paying 8% and now that has lapsed I have opened a new one at 5%. I also hold an A&L account paying 6.5%, so yes you can hold multiple accounts with the Santander group. I also intend to open a 2nd A&L account with a £2500 deposit for maximum interest earning potential. When I have closed the original Abbey account, I shall open another with £2500 for it's 5% return.

Now... whether I'd get away with a 3rd has not been looked into yet. ;)

...never say never as getting 5% on £7500 is not an idea to be dismissed quickly. :T
