Choices ...

Hi there,

I currently have an Alliance & Leicester Premier account, and a Barclays Joint a/c with my Partner.

I have a buy to let property and for tax purposes, i should keep anything relating to it (service charges, rental income etc) separate. Currently this is coming out of my personal account.

I have two choices (or maybe a 3rd if someone has a better recommendation).

Do I

a) Speak to Alliance & Leicester and get another a/c with them, for the purpose of having standing order/dd's associated with my property there.

b) Speak to barclays and get a separate account with them and move my non property related DD's with them (advantage being i don't need to worry about the messing around with changing instructions for my property)

c) Go with another Bank.

Basic bank account might be an option ... do some allow direct debits? I am not interested in an overdraft facility, though no doubt the bank will upsell every product under the sun to me.

Not really a dillemma as such, but need to make an informed choice before I go with any of the 3 options.

Cheers for any tips.

Thanks
Chris :-)

personally i would choose barclays over alliance and leicester anyday. a&ls internet banking is hard to use and very slow. tbh, any bank is probably better than alliance and leicester.

Go with option b. Since you are with the same bank, it is more likely they will open a bank account for you, due to a long customer relationship with them.
