HELP Please Quick.....! Bt Home Hub

hi all

I have just seen one of these available on my local freecycle I am currently on broadband with pipex but not wireless and only pay bt for line rental.

Would the Bt home hub be any use to me ie. to set up my broadband to be wireless broadband or would I need to be on bt for it to work.

Hope that makes sense.......if it would be any good to me I need to send them a msg ASAP.

You can "hack" them to work with any ISP, as well as make use of the wireless broadband and their VoIP phone. It will NOT work 'out of the box' though. It will require technical know-how, including firmware flashing, command line usage etc.

hey as i believe correctly you would need to have bt broadband before you can use the equipment,maybe think of transferring if your not in a contract because bt have some great deals at moment!!!!1

Will give it a miss sounds a bit too complicated for me........I might even ring up Pipex and ask nicely (or threaten to leave lol) for a free wireless router!!
