I am having trouble in Moneysupermarket getting prices for a 17 year old for insurance. He will be 18 by the time he goes but it won't let me go any further when I enter his date of birth. Any ideas???

That must be moneysupermarkets software, as there are plenty of insurers prepared to cover 17 year olds. (Though often charging adult prices if they travel alone)
If you want to get comparisons via moneysupermarket, get some virtual quotes with a false d.o.b.
That should point you (roughly) at the cheaper companies, then go direct to their sites and input the correct details to see if they do accept 17 year olds.0 -
Thanks for your reply. I have tried companies but the ones I have tried do not insure 17 year olds unless there is someone now over 18 who is travelling with them.0

There are plenty that do cover 17 year olds.

Or contact a broker for help.0 -

Have you good reason to recommend them? How are they "great"?
I wasn't really recommending them, I have no knowledge of what they are like regarding claims. I just gave an example of an easy to find on line company that covers 17 year olds.
A local broker would be able to assist with a recommendation.0 -
Thanks again.0

I wasn't saying you were recommending them!!!!
They are great in my opinion as have used them several times for family holidays & for my son travelling and they have always been the best value- offer the most helpful customer service before, during & after the holiday. Cover is great for our needs (obviously have to check the policy for your own requirements)
Not had to make a claim from them but had a problem on a family holiday & used the legal advise section and they were incredibly helpful.
