I'm with nPower standard dual fuel - can I switch to online?
I almost tried last night, via Moneysupermarket, but saw in the small print that the online tariff is for new customers only. However, the main article here encourages us to switch tariffs.
I feel a bit of a fool for being on the bog-standard tariff, as all the comparison sites show the nPower Online 14 to be the cheapest by a country mile, and even though I'm a light user (direct debit of £70 a month) I'll save £250 by switching.
So, has anyone who's been with nPower successfully switched?
Cheers!

You can switch to their Sign Online 14 tariff, this is for existing customers. Its only their Web 14 tariff that is for new customers.

You sure? I've just tried anyway so we'll see. But..
The Sol14.pdf terms and conditions doc states
You will be eligible for our Online Tariffs if you fulfil the following criteria:• You are a new customer of us (or any other npower group company);

I know yeah, i think these are generic terms and conditions and are just handed out with everything. I believe you can switch to the new online tairff via comparison websites and over the phone with them now.

Yes you can- I've done it. I was with nPower for standard dual fuel, then applied to the sign online 14 when I saw the huge price difference.
It took over a month for the confirmation letters to come through, but I suspect that this is because I am supplied by an IGT for gas. The electricity was backdated to when I applied however, the gas started shortly after I received the confirmation letter.0 -

Call them with meter reads and they will add you on to sign on line. You have to pay by direct debit and if you cancel they will put you on standard again0
