XP home or Pro?

Sorry, don't understand this, not correct.
Reformated mine, partitioned the 250gb hd and installed my own edition of xp, of course you lose everything that Dell pre-loaded, but I wanted to get rid of it anyway.
Just make sure you backup the drivers and then you have no problems at all, and even if you didn't back up you can still find all the drivers on the Dell website.
Of course the recovery disc becomes obsolete, but again that doesn't matter as long as you've got a copy of xp.0 -
Stick with home unless you're going to network.
And even then it might be better to stick with Home now that it's there.
Think I'd have gone for Pro at the ordering stage with Dell if I'd have wanted it.
