Game freezing problems

Hi there im after some techie knowledge please, ive got a new dell laptop and i was bought theme hospital and love the game but when i play it for some time it freezes and has even wiped the save so ive had to start all over again which is frustrating and i havent a clue as to whats wrong. The spec on the box does say vista compatible with min ram 16mb, input mouse and keyboard (got mouse) and sound Directx5 compatible.
Any ideas what could be the problem? As it crashes both when im playing with and without the mains charger plugged in

I think it's something to do with the DOS it runs under. The game is 16bit, and apparantly that doesn't run so well under Vista.
Theme Hosptital doesnt run v. well for me anyway .0 -
You coudl try running it in compatibility mode.

If it's a DOS application you could also try installing Dosbox (it's free) and running it from within Dosbox.0
