I don't know, but given Broon and Darling's track record, there's bound to be something stupid in there somewhere... maybe they could reintroduce the Window Tax or Hat Tax:

(Apologies for OT, but for some of us, this matters
)
Well done both of you - I'm on day 12. I smoked for about 15 years, then gave up about 3 years ago; started again last year. Fell into all those traps - went to Africa with a bunch of smokers on a stressful project, thought "hell, why not"...came back to the UK, and a couple of parties later...suddenly drunken fags became waiting for the train in the morning fags.
Bringing it vaguely back on board, if not topic; I was spurred to give up, when contemplating one of the debates on here about private education; it occured to me that a couple of parents smoking (20 a day can be £2k a year each) would probably pay for (okay, only one child's) the additional cost of private education versus state. And yes, I know we can't take the state cost and put that towards the cost of private, and yes, I know that most of that cost of smoking is going straight back to the gov as tax and so presumably funds those schools, but it still made me think...
Anyhow, the best of luck to you both.
Well done to you Nick too.
Im not sure if this is alla bit of a racket, as having smoked 20 B&H a day pretty much since i was 15, I would have thought it be nigh on impossible. I'm finding it a lot easier than I thought i would and wonder if this is some sort of racket from the likes of the patch makers ansd tobacconist to make you thinik "its so hard maybe i wont bother", I have felt the tweinge of the urge - strangely when I have nothing better to do.
ONe thing smacked me square in the face the other day, was talking to my mate about the police. Ive always wanted to be in the police, but my response always has been " im not fit enough, I wont be able to chase or run over walls etc. Isnt that shocking, that my dreams would be shelved over a tiny box of death? Strange how the mind works.My sisters pregant atm and I had a vision of the little one saying " will auntie Lynz die" in the way kids do. I couldnt justify it.
So 2 fingers to the economy im spending less and less. Also seem to have lost a pound or so this week as not constantly in the newsagent picking up a little bit of chocolate to go with it
:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
