This young man has a mobile phone in his dads name. There is a big difference between the parents getting him a contract and him borrowing it once or twice for "safety"
I would suggest quite rightly if his parents want to spend that on him they can spend it on something worthwhile and allow his jobseekers to be reduced to reflect that.
Twaddle. If they ask the young man if he has a house should he say yes even though it belongs to his dad ?.................

The father would have the house regardless.
He has the mobile only for his son thus is spending money on a luxury which could be better used rather than paying for his son's luxury then expecting the tax payer to dish out for the basics:rolleyes:0 -
@Magic57 - I've PM'd you. Hopefully that helps.0

If it makes you any happier, consider my tax is paying the young man's JSA !.................

Your son is claiming benefits yet has a phone contract someone pays for him, he could get rid or reduce the phone and be less of a burden on society.
i dont agree with your view linas, i se ethe phone is given by the parent to the son as a means of the parents being able to stay in contact with the son0 -

You've funny ideas about relationships. Your partner supports you? How magnanimous of him/her.
my point exactly. well noticed. this person has funny ideas about parentship if she thinks that a father putting a mobile phone in his name and letting his child use it for safety means the child should get less JSA.
also my partner doesnt support me. i said that his income and my JSA supports us. and the fact that he buys food for me (and him!) means that i am entitled to less than others? by this LinasPilibaitisisbatman persons standards anyway.Debt Free by Xmas 2014!

I dont understand how you think that a mobile phone is a LUXURY? Its a necessity these days, especially for kids. And a good parent will want to know where their kids are and know they are safe.
As a tax payer up until a few weeks ago, i dont have any qualms paying for a kid to be safe.Debt Free by Xmas 2014!

That's even nastier. I have recently lost my job due to redundancy and have applied for well over 75 jobs and have visitied agencies all over the shop to try and get work and I can't get a thing and I have years of experience and qualifications behind me. It is literally almost impossible.
My brother who is younger than me is also struggling to get a job.
Ive got a feeling you're just trying to stir things and I suggest you give up right now because you are actually offending me and I'm sure many others.Debt Free by Xmas 2014!
