    Best to do it slowly.
Pick up a copy of Felicity Lawrences book and maybe a read of a
    Patrick Holford too.

Once you know all the cr** in most food found in supermarkets, and you never (or rarely) ever eat any sugar (except in red wine :)) , corn starch or hydrogenated fats the weight will drop off. In fact it's impossible to gain weight as you get full up and everything you eat is fuelling the body's needs.
The body is like a robot hunting around for nutrition (so you get hungry rumbles) and it may need a bit of Zinc or Vit C...and we feed it Tea and a biscuit...so it get's hungry again..and we feed it more cr**...and so on.

It is possible to be very undernourished and overweight at the same time.

More excercise...just more walking may do....eat a little less than normal + don't starve yourself.

Avoid all processed 'slimming' foods too and probiotics...as they are given to pigs to gain weight.

I forgot to say...P Holford...be selective with it....I never do supplements as you don't need to if you eat a good diet...and he's very anti caffeine too. Some of it is a bit cranky but the essence is good.
