hmmm well what i am about to say will make some of u v cross and think i complete loser but... sold something on ebay, said i would deliver, buyer not in so i knocked on neighbour. young mum with 2 small kids, said she would take it in for me. i took item into house, and omg. if i thought i had a horrid life/worries about debt/no money then i am sooo wrong. this kind young woman clearly was struggling financially, the house had nothing in it.
i felt dreadful. how dare i moan and groan about our debt when there are people who live in a completely different range of money worries and debt. i felt just the lowest person when i considered what i had and what they didnt. i have to add that i returned to the car, got £10 note and went back to give to her. she hugged me and clearly it meant alot to her, but i felt like cr*p. hopefully she will use it for something nice but i cant guarentee that. i felt small and sad for them.
sorry if this is not nice to read, but i had to put it.
hope u all well and have a good day - im sad today.

Hi, Just read your post and must say please don't feel bad, mad or stupid. That is the most amazing and generous thing I have heard for weeks. If only there were more people like you the world would be a happier place.!
Ok it may be spent on rubbish, but who cares it's the thought that counts. Well done!

What a kind and amazing thing to do :A I think I would have done the same and it does open your eyes to how others live. I had a similar experience when visiting one of our claimants, he had nothing - it was xmas eve and I was doing a home visit. He was young vulnerable - similar to how you explained. anyhow, couldn't do anything there and then as 'rules' etc to work to. However, I popped back and put a christmas card through his post box with £20 that evening.

You've really made me think.....I feel bad moping about now when clearly there are others far worse off.

    xx
