  • Wowwwww! That is GREAT NEWS!

I think an Emergency Fund (ie a sleep at night Fund) is a good idea if you can stash some away.

The property in Cyprus sounds like a great earner and if you keep it a cheap holiday/inspection trip for you as a family if flights can be had in an MSE way.

Is that naughty of me to suggest??

    Hey!

Just wanted to say congrats on the money from cyprus - lurk a lot but don't often post (lazy I know :o). Fingers crossed this is the turning point that you and hubby need.

    K xx

P.S - so sorry to hear of your friends news, nasty people in this world

wow ... just heard that we have 11.5k coming in from cyprus.. this is the left over from after bills, mortgage has been paid. omg ... do you have any idea what i can do with 11.5k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think omg just think - if no more disasters and we sell the car that .. just might have turned a massive corner........infact OH on phone to me earlier was nearly in tears - this is how low we have become in our spirits...

That is fantastic, I knew you were due a bit of luck soon. Bless your DH.

I can't wait to get my money, I know it won't pay all the debts but will be great to pay 4 credit cards off and not have to find 4 minimum payments every month, my Nationwide is £121 min payment this month so that will be going. I am also going to save nearly 1.5k as I really need the security of having some savings I don't want my kids to have another Summer of not going anywhere or doing anything because I can't afford to.

Have fun planning what you will do with the money.

It must be horrible to know that someone has been in your house and taken your stuff, I'm assuming they were all asleep upstairs, that is so scary.

So pleased about the Cyprus money, its about time that you got a break.

Very sorry to hear about your friend, must feel awful to have had someone in your house and going through your things, hope that the Police recover the car and everything else. Not sure how you come to terms with being in the house after that, might be worth getting some details on local alarm Companies maybe?

Trying to think of something more constructive that booze and chocolate!
