O/H about to be tupe'd to new company after 38 years with current employer. He was verbally given the name of this new employer but nothing in writing. Checked Companies House, no listing for a company of this name.
Although a consulting period has been given, all information he's had has been verbal. he's asked time and time again for it in writing...keeps getting told they are too busy.
Basically there is a voluntary redundancy payoff but this can be deferred for up to 2 years after the TUPE, or taken now and give the job up.
Does he have the right to get this in writing? The union solicitor is useless, not returning calls etc. It's very worrying and today he was told he has 24 hours to make a decision!:eek:
