Hi all
We're looking to visit family in few weeks who live in Newport, Pembrokeshire and are looking for somewhere nice to stay.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks

As regular visitors, we've stayed in loads of places in Pembrokeshire, mostly around the Fishguard area, so we know the area well.
Not stayed in Newport itself... a bit touristy for my liking. One place we've stayed at twice now is just outside Newport in Dinas. It's a lovely 'proper' little Welsh cottage. Good peaceful location and a nice atmosphere about it. On the downside the staircase is a bit steep and the bedrooms are right up in the eaves, so headroom is a bit limited.
Depends what you're after really, but here's the link:

The website has plenty of other places in that area, so I'm sure you'll find something to suit you.Ah! Good old trusty beer... I hope you never change.0 -
I remember staying at a pub there when I was younger, I think it was called the Golden Lion but it's so long ago I can't quite remember the name!Life must be lived forwards, but can only be understood backwards - Kierkegaard0

I've stayed at the Youth Hostel with my family on a few occasions. It's fine. My auntie wardens it from time to time.0

Hi
Thanks to all who have suggested options. Coincidentally enough we have booked into the Golden Lion. It's not cheap (£75 per night at Easter) but the website is good, the rooms have recently been reburfished and the Trip Advisor reviews are good.
Most importantly of all it's in the good beer guide!
