Tesco Online Savings - DELAYS!

In short, took 4 weeks to process the application and cash the cheque - 1 months interest lost as I had to transfer the money into the current account to cover the cheque.

Then for the past 3 weeks we’ve been trying to set up access to the on-line banking which requires 1)on-line registration 2)written confirmation 3)receipt and submission of a posted pin. To cut a long story short the whole process failed (and the “Johny No Stars” at the end of the technical help line had no clue as to why) and we’ve now got to start again

The worse bit is I signed up when the rate was 3.5%, who knows what it is now I cant flippin check!!

My advise, steer well clear of Tesco Savings products!

I'm not excusing Tesco's delays, which are well documented on here, but my advice for all new savings accounts is to make your initial account opening cheque out for £1 or some other nominal amount.

I'd like to put in a good word for tesco. Sure, the application takes a while to open. But, if you're patient, you get one of the best rates around, and faster payments in AND out.
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.
