I have done a comparison and my bill will be 8% cheaper if I switch from Scottish Power to Npower. For me, its not all about the money because I would rather stay somewhere if they have good customer service. I havent heard very good things about Npower and was wondering if anyone could advise me?
Also, which companies have good customer services?

Thanks!!!!!

I've just set the wheels in motion to switch from E-on to Npower tonight. Am a little concerned re the comments I've read but the savings was the deciding factor. There is a cooling off period so I have time to reconsider.

  • I think the service at npower totally depends on who you get on the phone. my advice find someone who knows what they are doing and get their direct line and always try and deal with the same person. I found a good guy to talk to.

I found most of them were pleasant to talk to, but every time they said something was going to be done, I'd later find out that it never was

  • AFAIA the cheapest (online) npower tariffs rely on you staying with them for at least 12 months to get the price the switching sites show. This is because the discount that makes the price look attractive is paid retrospectively every 12 months. Reading on here what I have about npower there's no way I would commit myself to them for 12 months but each to their own, I suppose...*

    * To be fair, I wouldn't commit myself to ANY energy supplier for any length of time because you can count on being wazzed on from a great height if you do...
