Good value web hosting needed for charity?

I hope this is in the right forum.

I am a volunteer/user of a small but invaluable cancer support charity.

Unfortunately no-one working there is very internet savvy. In my opinion our web site is very static ( 3 unchanging pages) and I get the feeling we are getting ripped off by our present suppliers who charge hundreds of pounds for maintenance.

Can anyone suggest a quote for a setting up and maintaining a good site with opportunities for donation. cancer help info, links etc. and /or suggest reliable companies.

    Ooops sorry :o

Er Um Personal Hosting would be fine... http://www.34sp.com/hostingfeatures.php

Also web site maintenance isnt that pricey....

If its just inserting text and the such like maybe try to go on
a nightcourse and learn HTML.. a lot of colleges now do this
for about £100 for a very enlightening 10-12 week course
and youll save a lot of money in the long run... Just a thought.. :)

    Hi,

For reasons both complicated and dull I recently had to sign up for a reseller account with hostgator.com, who have hosted all my websites since the beginning of time. I only needed to set up a few sites on the package, so have a bit of room left. If you PM me I'll be happy to set you up with the space you need for free. If you search for "hostgator review" on Google you'll find they're one of the most reliable companies around. I have never had a single problem with them.

So, since it's for such an important cause I'll be happy to give you some free space, as I say, and to help you get set up on it. PM me and we can sort out the details if you want to go ahead.

I bought the reseller package to host my own websites and one I'm working on for a client. The client's yearly hosting bill covers the hostgator charge, and will do forever more, so I'm never going to hit you with any charges or anything, you can rest assured.

    Anyhoo, let me know!
