in Credit cards
Evening,
I don't know if anybody can help me, currently i've just cancelled my barclaycard gold and mastercard credit cards. I have no debts and always pay on time, i rang and spoke to them and asked if they could give me the same deal as for the platinum card, as i want to purchase my martial arts membership now which is £740, but would like to have the option of a 0% purchase option for 3 months. I stated that i didn't actually want a platinum card which they have offered me previously, but the conditions of it on one of the above cards, ie a 0% purchase for 3 months.Basically i was given the thumbs down and have decided that they don't obviously need my business. Im a LLoyds current account holder and have just applid for there advanced credit card, any ideas on turn around time, if i'm accepted. I might not be the usual type of credit card consumer, if there is such a person, as i don't want a huge credit limit, £1000 or £1500 would suit me fine.
Anyone give me some ideas of any useful companies that might meet my needs, with quick turn around times.
Regards
Birdboy

Nationwide (9m) and Sainsburys (10m) both have long 0% deals at the moment.
Nationwide has the added benefit of being great for use if you ever travel overseas.
Good luck.
R.Smile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.

Remember when applying for stuff like this that banks want customers who will make them money!!! Of course you need to be totally honest when applying for anything, but do remember to do what you can with the honest data to present yourself as someone who will use your CC in the way THEY want (i.e. leave a balance accruing interest) rather than as someone who always pays off in full. If you have a remaining CC it is actually quite useful to leave a small balance on it and pay the minimum - for the cost of the interest on this small amount, you gain a reputation as a customer worth having..... :rolleyes:Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0
