Where that happens here the PB people insist on standing by the doors and standing in the way of everyone else getting on! Thus meaning the plane gets delayed. Hmmm.0 -

They abandoned the 'free priority for online check-in' last year and you now have to pay extra for it, and it's only 75% of passengers who check in online. Furthermore, despite all the complaints from people on here and elsewhere, I've never seen any couple being forced to split up because they can't sit together. In any case, on occasion I would pay not to sit with my family, so it works both ways!
No worries Omelette - the last time I flew Ryanair was October, fortunately the last time at the end of a long project that's seen me fly back and forth to Italy many, many times. I said then it would be my last. Looking back , I think i'd (well, my company) spent many thousands on Ryanair over a two year period - hence why being so bitter about them on the other Ryanair bashing threads.
edit, sorry the original point. I have seen couples split up, but that's usually their fault for being very late and therefore last on. If it means that much to you you either get there in good time, or pay priority boarding. For me, it's just down to a missus being terrified of flying and making her trip as smooth as possible.0 -
I love priority boarding - it's peanuts in the scheme of things for Ryanair and well worth it as we tend to travel to places that lots of people want to go to during school holidays when lots of people want to travel for not much money so the extra isn't worth worrying about. We like to sit near our 2 kids and have plenty of room to stow away our handluggage and then we can thank god we're already seated when the rest get on all hot and sweaty and worrying about where they're going to sit and thinking was it really worth the saving of less than £2?0
