home insurance

Hi All
I have just recieved a call from my home insurance company regarding my renewal last October. They have just called me to say that the payment on my switch card did not go through, I asked them why its taken 6 months to get back to me and they couldn't answer. I did phone the company a couple of days after the payment was due and I was assured that everything had gone through as it should. I am concerned that they will now want the premuim to be paid asap and to be honest I will not have the case until the end of the month. Do I have any rights on this ?

They are entitled to the money however in the circumstances they will almost certainly be prepared to allow you to pay this over two or three instalments.

This has probably come to light when they were doing their audit

I would recommend that you check your bank / credit card statement to ensure the money did not actually leave your account.
