Just a quick reminder to anyone worrying about representation at their tribunals - check your insurance.
It turns out my household insurance had an allowance of £50,000 for representation in legal cases, including those involving employment disputes. Now I don't have to worry about hiring a pricey lawyer or trying (and failing) to get free support.
You do have to let them know before you take action usually though, so check your policy to see if you're covered and make use of what you paid for!
