Switching doom

8 weeks ago I went onto the comparison sites and found that my cheapest supplier would be British Gas for Electricity (reduction of 20%). I am currently with Southern Electric. My new supply will start from 2nd March, one day after the 20% rise!!! What can I do?
Just when I'm about to make ends meet, somebody moves the ends

  • Switch again if you're not on a capped tariff. I did so after less than a month after transferring to Atlantic. I switched cos they put the price up during the transfer. Use Energy helpline again to get the commission as well.
  • Oh no, too late to change your mind, you'll have to wait until your first gas bill and switch again.
