Where to get cover from?

Hi I am trying to get House Insurance but trying to go through the guide and none of the sites will give cover.

I have alot of bits and pieces and I am having trouble getting cover.

My wife wears about 10k in jewlery (never lost any in 10 years touch wood)
My Home cinema cost about 10k
I have a large collection of SideShowCollectables including alot of the early and rare bits like the Balrog which i have seen on ebay for over 2k (the head is going for 1k+ http://www.sideshowtoy.com/?page_id=4489&sku=2953&utm_source=search0109&utm_medium=online), probably 15-20ks worth. (Any one who has seen my other posts knows now why its taking 4 years to pay of my cards and loans )

How do I get insurance?

I would suggest you pay a visit to a broker who can search through more speciaised insurers for you.

Like simpywimpy said speak to a local broker who with any luck will quote you with Chubb, Hiscox, Oak or Home and Legacy.

P.S It would be advisable to get the jewellery valued as the price of Gold has rocketed recently so they values could have gone up dramatically (Might also be worth getting them to check the clasps and stone settings while they are doing it)

I have attached a link from BIBA which is a trade organisation for Insurance Brokers, their members tend to be a cut above normal brokers so you should get a good service.

I would have thought brokers in the Sevenoaks area would be used to dealing with "High Net" clients as its an affluent area, so most of the brokers listed should have agencies with at least some of the companies that specialise in this field (I have noted the main players in my earlier post).

Alternatively you could try Blake Marstons of Egham 01784 431213 who have a good insurance scheme for collectors / collections which you might find helpful, the prices are surprisingly cheap as they know you will go overboard protecting your collection. I have used them before and they are very good. As they are based in Egham you should also find they could do a quote for your home insurance with some or all of the companies I mentioned.

P.S The "Normal" Insurers who offer Unlimited Contents Cover are not suitable for your requirements as they have inner limits for the total amount of valuables which is fairly low and would rule you out.
