Thomsonfly seat options - are they worth it?

We are flying to Sandford with Thomsonfly on Sat 18th March. (2 adults, 2 children) Even though I am little I need to be careful of DVT so looking to select seats carefully.
There are so many seat options/airport lounge options available at great cost - can anyone tell me which are worth it and why? Or should I just turn up at check in really early?

Thanks. : :A :grouphug:

Personally I wouldn`t pay anything extra at all.
Just turn up early and ask for a particular seat row but I`m nearly certain you will be told your seats have already been allocated (by the airline).
I remember one flight where people had paid for extra leg room only to find the drinks trolley parked in front of them for most of the flight, needless to say they were not happy.
As regards DVT you could take an aspirin for about four days leading up to the flight or get something from the quack.
Wriggle your toes and move your feet up and down from heel to toe to help with circulation.
Spend the extra money ,you would have wasted on seats, on yourself on holiday.
  • doctor already said to take 75 mcg aspirin. Thanks though.
I'm thinking along the same lines regarding paying extra if there is no real difference.
They also apply a charge to pre book sit together, and fast check in. Is this a con or just a way to make up for the cheap tickets.
I have read that the flights on Saturdays have really bad queues - any experiences to contradict that? Read about delays in Sandford as well, so is it worth while getting into one of their airport lounges.

Personally I would not pay the the extra , as I see it as a way of the airlines making up extra money .Arrive early to check in , having already worked out from https://www.flightguru.com , the best place to sit and then ask for the seats that you would like. I cannot see the airline seperating a family as the children are likely to be upset and it is not in their best interests to annoy customers . Bulkhead seats tend to be reserved very early on , as do seats with access to the mid exits. With regard to the DVT , I have had two,so can symapthise with your worry. My GP gave me some "teds" which are really good support stockings in shades of white/black and neutral. They do the job however best to wear trousers , as they are Nora Batty specials . HTH X

Dont worry about fast check in either , just get to the airport early .

Don`t pay them a penny extra for anything.
They are out to get as much money as they can from you.
It`s all a con about paying to sit together,as I`ve already said, you`ll find your seats have already been allocated.
Obviously the weekend can be busier at airports (you don`t say which one)but usually you can check-in at any (Thomson) desk.
Don`t know anything about Sanford,I flew to Orlando, which is roughly 60 miles away.
  • DO NOT PAY ANYTHING! ESPECIALLY THOMSONFLY!

Last year I paid extra legroom both ways, only to get on the outbound flight and find 2 people sitting in our seats refusing to move because someone else was sitting in their seats etc etc.... We got put in a normal seat and got given a free drink to say sorry......

Similar story on the way back, but instead of getting the seats at the front like I had booked we got moved to the centre of the aircraft right next to a set of toliets.... great!

As has been said, just make sure you are there when check in opens and you will be fine.
