Wallpapering one room

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of how much I could expect to pay a decorator to wallpaper the following room and how long it might take.

It is approx 10' x 9'4” but there are lots of nooks and crannies, plus archway into next room, which would make it more awkward / time consuming.

We have already stripped back the old wallpaper and we could apply lining paper but rather not do the finished papering.

We estimate it would take approx 9 rolls.

We would paint skirtings etc, so it would literally just be the papering which would need doing.

Many Thanks

I would suggest you get quotes, there seems to some filling need doing, and I know you said you would hang the LP, but to hang the finish paper on top of the LP, there cant be any butt joins showing thru the LP.
You would have to hang it horizontal, and the finish paper of course would hang vertical.

Also depends on what paper you choose, if its a drop pattern, then each length has to be held up against the previous hung length, and this takes time.
If its a straight match then you can paste a few lengths, and hang them very quickly, but you have ceiling box, RSJ, and an alcove, ( you have it all) lol

You could pay anything from £150-£300.

    wow that's a belter lol
that room is crying out for a step and a half patteren  noooooo , the pattern would need to be lost several times, and will show up everything that's not level.

as misgarce said , the lining paper would need to be spot on and tbh i wouldn't touch it unless i could prep it as i've no idea what i'm papering onto. Thus i couldn't guarentee my work.

9 rolls is easy to hang in a day, pattern depending of corse

don't skimp on the quality of your paper but also remember the dearest is not also the best.

i would be at the top end of previous price quoted. (lining and filling included)
