Bush-board encore worktops - Advice

Hi i am having a new kitchen fitted soon and i am looking at the Bush Board Encore worktops. These tops are a timber base with a composite 8mm top. Has anyone any experience of these worktops. I.e. duribility, resistance to scratching etc?

Thanks all.

They aren't a timber base, they are chipboard based and the surface is only 5mm thick, not 8mm..

I have experience of selling it, I did two jobs with it and vowed NEVER to use it again. It's basically just a cheaper version of Corian and is no-where near as good...
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
