Dyson Noise!

I unwrapped all the hair from the brush on my Dyson last night, washed the filters and attached my new hose (from Dyson CS) expecting the hoover to work like (almost) new today.

It is now making the most horrendous noise, I've checked for blockages and there are none - any ideas?
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

  • Have you tried the troubleshooter on the Dyson website?

http://www.dyson.co.uk/aftersales/help.asp? Go to 'My machine is not working'.

When my hoover was spitting out the contents of the dustbag all over the carpet (nice!), I thought I'd have to shell out for a new hoover - but I sorted it for less than a fiver by fitting a new belt. I couldn't believe the difference it made! Like having a new machine. :)

My mother recently had a similar problem. A local engineer came out to her and replaced the clutch. It cost £40. I think she had a discount because she is a pensioner.
