Well you miserable lot, Intel is trying to help and has helped me on many occasion so be nice to moneysavers.
Intel could have a perfectly good reason for being on MSE so often, I haven't, so I must be sad too!!
And even if he is one here 16+ hours a day, what business is it of yours anywayI haven't got one!0 -
Perhaps you are getting a little too sensitive when someone disagrees with your technical views on occasion?intel wrote:I think you need to explain why you rubbish everything I type.
I am in agreement with what you put forward most of the time, it may surprise you to know, but when I disagree I occasionally say so. I don't have the monopoly on truth or correctness, and I'm old enough to realise that I am not infallible -- but then again, I'm sure you would agree that neither are you, nor is anyone!
Asking for the reasons why you suggest that 'bouncing an email just the once is a good idea' is hardly "rubbishing your views". If you can give a valid reason for this idea, then I would be happy to accept it. Just getting ratty because someone says they don't necessarily agree doesn't really move the debate forward...

Thanks John I did get a bit (well ya know) maybe if I explain my setup.
I have pop peeper that tells me immediately when an email is on its way
so I can open OE in a split second to recieve the email off the server as pop peeper reads the email on the server, Ok then Ive also got Coffee Cup Spam blocker to read header info set to every 2mins OE every 30mins Pop Peeper every 3mins so they overlap and can cross reference incoming emails.
Now I blacklist all junk as you are well aware of, but I also Bounce (only) the first ever email from a bad source that comes in so I bounce 1 email address once. and only once.. Now if an email address is removd, lets say I delete or change an email address of mine so that it no longer exists, well it doesnt bother me about bouncing then as I wouldnt ever get the dodgy email.
Now if an email is manually bounced by me I do it once I do it as fast as a server unless im away from the PC and dont forget some emails take hours to get bounced by some ISPs as they are just slow at bouncing..
the same as "Oi I sent and email to you 4hrs ago did you get it" what email is that then I never got it.. servers fall down or lag time and time again.
Does that clear this up,, I bloomin hope so....Lol.0 -

I was going to post along the same lines.
I have seen intel post some good replies on here and I have even thanked him in the past but as with you, he responds to me if I dare to question his reply, with abuse and sarcasm which only serves to get me to retaliate.
As for cheekymole....not worth commenting.0 -
and what's THAT supposed to mean if YOU don't mind ME asking?I haven't got one!0

Er you can question me as long as some politeness is used and you have to agree that you can be quite blunt and snipey, this is on view fully as to your last reply to cheeky mole....
As I find that uncalled for, and what I do in my time is upto me not you.
I think we shall leave it there before we all lose our toys.0
