why would anyone bother doing any jobs??? i can buy all the things ms companies want me to buy without having to fill a questionaire in afterwards.
juding by the number of pizza places around there are plenty of people going in there paying full price for the food. at least we get it free (or very little cost).
if you don't like it - don't do it! save the jobs for the rest of us.
I agree. I enjoy the meals out that I wouldn't be able to afford otherwise. The fast pizza place I did last time actually cost me about £8 over the reimbursement - so for me, amazing value for money! I can see where HP & scaredy are coming from completely though.
I MS for two reasons, the main one is to make some extra money but the second (which I discovered after I started) is that I can have some really nice treats for free or for very little. It cuts both ways. At the end of the day, we all have different reasons for MSing and different reasons for accepting or declining the different jobs. It is all down to personal choice, which I don't think we should be criticising.SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65

I think some of you dont realise that mystery shopping IS a job for a lot of people. I work for a market research company doing price checking and have also done mystery shopping for them when desperate (I dont bother doing it any more as a rule) and the other ladies I work with all do mystery shopping as a job, not to earn a few extra pounds.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

The new Gap pizza jobs (being trialled in some areas) don't say this, so hopefully they are switching over to allowing other people to pay on the same bill. The questionnaire on these jobs is simpler too, which is good. I've had 4 people on the bill on lots of these jobs, and had no queries or problems getting paid, but there are different scenarios for them, so you need to check each questionnaire.
For other companies, I don't remember seeing jobs where you have to pay separately, but lots of RE jobs do seem to say for 2 adults only, which is worth checking before you accept any from them, if you are hoping to take your daughter. I also had a pub job, which didn't say not to take children, but unfortunately the pub itself wouldn't allow my children on the premises (during the daytime even), so again worth checking if you can, it's hard to tell though.
Thanks ever so much for your reply, thats handy about possible future pizza jobs on Gap , I will make sure to check thoroughly , great news about simpler questionaires too !
Yep Ive noticed that on the RE jobs , DH is coming with me to one on Sunday as that specifies exactly what youve got to eat and drink and the drinks are alcoholic so obviously rules her out anyway . I have a couple of other pub jobs lined up so thanks for the tip about children not being allowed in some pubs, will check with them first .
Thanks again !0 -

Yes, I do realise that completely. I am in the middle range here. I take home £800 a month from my full time job, which I think you will agree does not go far at all, hence the NEED to earn extra money to live and MS is my second JOB, (not pocket money), which I take seriously. At the same time, there are jobs which I will accept for no fee if I can have a nice meal out, which I couldn't otherwise afford.SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65

I am exactly the same as you , I earn what I can from MSing (not a lot!) but a few nice treats for me and mainly for my family are nice too, the majority of these are no fee jobs anyway .0 -

And obviously such a person wouldn't accept these reimbursement only jobs. That is what people here are saying - it's down to personal circumstances and preference.Dan

no probs. I hate all this political correctness stuff.
If the sales assistant was black, we should be allowed to say "she was black", same for "she was mixed race", "she was of Asian appearance" etc etc.
It drives me insane, it really does.
BTW, I can't wait for RE to query what IC3 means when/if I ever use it in a report. I'll laugh and laugh and laugh.0 -
Hands up who else thought that after the RE site had been down for 5 mins, it would be full of new jobs?
No, just me then...i'm so naive.:rotfl:
