    Hi all,

Does anyone know how the scoring system for assignments on Bare works? I just completed one and was awarded a 7 after it was reviewed.

Also, has anyone ever completed a GFK audit for a big household textiles store? I completed one today - what a nightmare!

With regards to BARE, I've been told we should be aiming for 8 or above. It is a bit hit and miss to be honest. I've scored 10 before and then completed later reports in exactly the same way and only scored a 9. It depends on who does the marking, really. Try not to let it get to you too much. I have to admit I got quite worked up about it because I couldn't understand why I had got a 9 when the same type of report previously had scored a 10. I was told that some editors (the Americans) tend to give a 10 as standard, but others are more picky. The only advice I can give is that they like lots of comments!

As for GfK, I think I did that same assignment a few weeks back. Never again - it was a nightmare and took ages. I do a regular audit for another company so thought this would be ok but it was longer, harder, and the fee was much lower.

I did this recently, as my first experience of an audit it was awful. It has put me off doing any more actually.

Thanks folks. Re: Bare - I hadn't logged into my account to check what the score was out of. I guess 7/10 isn't bad. I was told to number my comments in one section and I had lots of spelling errors. The thing is - I ran a spell check and the errors it threw up were americanisms. Words like organize and apologize. I'd spelt them with an s as opposed to a z. Really don't think that's fair if that's what they have pulled me up on. Also, the expenses on my shop log are showing up as 0.00 when they should be £15. Should I be concerned?!

Finally, as regards the GFK audit; it was awful. It took me 90 minutes to complete and I got interrogated by the manager for pointing out things that weren't what they should have been. It was a nightmare to find things too. Then, on the way out, I had my bag searched in case I'd nicked anything!

Sorry but you'll probably have to go back and take it. If it's RE you certainly will!

I wouldn't use a stock photo from the internet. Firstly the promotions in the window will be out of date, and secondly the time and date the photo was taken will not match your visit time and date.
Here I go again on my own....

On the petrol jobs for Abai am I correct in thinking that you don't get reimbursed for the petrol it comes out of your fees?

It appears that there is two jobs attached to each assignment, one you have to buy petrol and something from the shop and the other you just buy something from a shop.

So does this mean, if I spend £10 in one shop (i.e., petrol and a chocolate bar from the shop) and then only buy a chocolate bar from the second shop, I would get to keep the difference, i.e cost of petrol and snacks £10.50, so I would be left with £9.50 for my fee ?
