    Hello everyone!

Today I did my first Mystery Shop- woohoo, it was only for a few pounds and a free lunch. It took me ages to fill in the report after though and then my laptop played up and went like a tortoise. In addition I couldn't get the camera to upload the pics.

Well, it's done now and I hope that the next few will be a little bit more than a few pounds.

Which are the best sites to log in with?

I think I am signed up to Bare, Gap, MSE and a few others. The Gap one is so hard to do as each time I "search" for jobs I have to add the same places and go through the same proceedure.

Any suggestions would be really helpful
    Thanks

I've always done fuel + something = min £X rather than £X fuel + something; even for the last couple of rounds. I've just dug out briefs for September, and the wording is the same on all of them with regards to the spend.

It could be that some visits are different than others, but I've done the DODOs in different parts of the country and the briefs have been consistant for me.

I'm sure they're OK with not buying £X fuel each time. They've phoned me up before asking for several remote visits to be done, and I could only put that much fuel in if I drove a hummer! I must say I think these visits are my favourite mystery shops...easy observations, reasonable fee, room for comments and not having to ask silly questions. :)

Mine must be a new brief then as it says fuel cannot go towards my minimum spend, so I have to spend £x amount in the shop & cafe which is a bit of a pain as I could have done with some free fuel and dont really want to spend that much in a petrol station shop.

It is a shame you cannot see the brief before you accept>

This is the same brief as the one I have done a few times. I think the brief varies depending on the establishment.

Yes, that's one aspect of abai that I don't like. I've seen some cafe ones on there before and the clue is to look at the fee / reimbursement figure - much lower for just the cafe/shop ones. If that helps.

    ws this in Bristol ?

they sent me to one that had closed down too... i hope they didnt send any one there after i had already been ?!

    Nope mine were in Southampton.
  • (newly registered so cant quote properly... ! )

for the quote just highlight the text and click on quote bottom right of post and it comes up in the reply box

I think you should still get paid for the closed one as its not your fault hopefully that will be 'easier money - bonus'

I'm sure it says in the brief that there could be typo errors so shop the nearest equivalent

I'm sure someone more experienced will come along soon and put your mind totally at rest

Its weird as I tried to do this yesterday , quoting in this way but it said that I couldnt as I was a new user , but today , hey presto , it works fine !

Fingers crossed about the closed one , will wait and see ! I contacted them about shopping the diesel instead of thepetrol (as stated) and its been 'referred to the project manager' , really cant see that I did the wrong thing though as why would 1 be petrol and all the others diesel ...

Anwyay thanks every so much for responding to my post .

One other thing could anyone PM me how to get more shops available to me on ABAI, have emailed them a few times, without success, I just have the group beginning with A on my account at the moment. THANKS !

For a MS job I have to buy a suit and the return it. I'm really unsure about what to say on return, I mean why would you want to return a suit a half an hour later? I can only think of "The wedding has been called of". :(

How about that you saw one somewhere else on offer cheaper as you were walking through town.

How about you saw a similar one for half the price at the shop down the road?
