RE took the fee off the 'higher end' restaurant and pub eating places a while ago. Used to be £5 then £3.50 and is now nil. They appear to have left it on the 'lower end' places, presumably to encourage take up since they can be a little 'hit and miss'. They usually allow a higher spend in the 'higher end' places.

I took one of the non fee paying restaurants at the weekend. It's one of my favourite places to eat anyway and the reimbursement was more than enough for me and my OH to have a great meal, we actually came in £2 under budget!

I also took a hair cut with no fee from a different company, but obviously I would be getting my hair cut anyway so I wasn't fussed about not getting a fee...

These are probably the only exceptions I would make for non fee jobs though, I would really have to want the freebie on offer otherwise it just isn't worth the time trying to upload the results.

And I have realised, the lower the pay for the job, the more ridiculous the reports?! How does that work?! I did some great jobs for GR where the reports were well explained, I didn't have to follow some stupid script and the pay was double what you get elsewhere for a 500 question report asking what colour knickers the salesperson wore last tuesday :/ I think I may have to become a MS snob! :)

I posted this a while back but didn't get a reply, but I'm reposting because I'm sure loads of people must know the answer - how long do GAP take to pay? I did my first jobs for them in feb, and was due to be paid in March. According to their FAQs, they pay on the 24th. Surely I should have received my payment by now?

You may want to email them because you should get paid the month after your assignment so you should have received a payment in March. Did you check to make sure your bank details are correct?

Jobs completed up to the end of Frebruary SHOULD have been paid at the end of March (its around 24/26 th each month but I can't remember the precise date).

Sounds to me as though something has gone wrong - possibly a problem with your bank details - and you need to email them PDQ to find out whats going on. Their response times do vary a bit but I usually get a rely withing a day or two so you might be lucky. Unfortunately Gap are not too good at contacting you first over things like this so you really do need to get on their case.

Yes, you should have received payment for February jobs on 20th March - thats the day mine went into my account. I think you had to type in your bank details including IBAN and BIC codes. If you are sure you gave them these details you had better email them.

That's odd as I was told you had to spend minimum £X on fuel.

The brief seems to have changed this time for the petrol stations that include competitors. Last time you had to spend £10 on fuel plus an item from the shop and then an item from the competitors' shop.

This time it's just a minimum total spend of £10 - fuel and item from shop combined, which is good as it's more flexible, I guess and your minimum spend can therefore be less too and then just something from competitors' shop.

I saw it but I did not accept interactions with that "hotel".

I've always done fuel + something = min £X rather than £X fuel + something; even for the last couple of rounds. I've just dug out briefs for September, and the wording is the same on all of them with regards to the spend.

It could be that some visits are different than others, but I've done the DODOs in different parts of the country and the briefs have been consistant for me.

I'm sure they're OK with not buying £X fuel each time. They've phoned me up before asking for several remote visits to be done, and I could only put that much fuel in if I drove a hummer! I must say I think these visits are my favourite mystery shops...easy observations, reasonable fee, room for comments and not having to ask silly questions. :)

Is anyone else still waiting for pay from Storecheckers for shops carried out in Feb?

I'll give them a day or so, then chase it up, but just wondered if anyone else was waiting too.
Here I go again on my own....
