jobbingmusician, thanks for the info - I was downloading the "full" briefing notes, the problem was that they weren't very full!!! LOL

All went well, although I thought for a minute the app was going to be accepted! The lady I saw was a manager and she had to ask the person next to her if she could accept it!

Is the the one where you are doing the change of address for somebody else? If so, the assistant will reject you form cos the actual applicant has to take it in. They probably won't even get as far as looking at the form once you say 'can you just check this change of address form for my husband, partner etc?'

Just complete the details of new address(doesn't matter what address you put, the form won't go anywhere), name etc and stick a photo onto the form. Its a really easy job - you don't even have to buy anything as, unusualy, Gap don't ask for a receipt as proof that you've done the job!

Gaps instructions are not very clear - and there isn't any other info on the website. They don't send you the guidance notes that DVLC would have normally given you either.

I did this today and found this to be a really confusing job. Wierd too. The form that GAP send you is not supposed to be used for change of address. I could not find my birth certificate too so I went in anyway and thought I would show my driving license instead. The lady at the counter did not even take the form but snottily advised me that I have the wrong form and they dont provide that service. The whole thing took 3 minutes and this job fee is a tenner ! How bizarre.

I was just looking at some restaurant/bar jobs on GfK. They insist you take someone with you to dinner, and drinks, and yet the fee is only £14 (including expenses). So basically you won't make any money on this, is that right? SO presumably people only do this sort of thing for the jolly of going out to dinner and having it partly paid for?
