E-on reps question

Hi reps

having the lecky capped since 06 has been the best plan I've had in years.. but since it's due to run out in 2010 I'm looking for more saveings.

I'm guessing that the lecky rate per unit will revert back to the standard charge when the cap runs out. Having looked at the tarrifs on the website I confess to being more than a little frightened.

As a recipient of certain benefits my income is somewhat constricted to say the least. So, indeed, I'll be looking to making any savings I can in the near future.

Does E-on have any policy in place (or future plans )to make a social tarrif available to under 60's elligable for means tested benefits?

I may be forced to switch, I do not want to switch as I find the E-on customer service and online facilities really rather good. So, if i switch I'll have to alter all that which could prove to be a pain.

I spose...to sum that up

Can you offer me any incentive to stay with E-on for future duel fuel provider?

Roger

    Hi Roger,

Capping back in 2006 will have saved you a lot when you look at the increases over the last couple of years, so good work!

I’d definitely stay with this tariff as long as possible, as the prices will be a lot cheaper. I don’t think you’ll find a better deal at present so I’d check in 2010 when this tariff ends and see what’s about, it stands a chance that they’ll be more changes over the next 12 months or so.

I don’t know of any future plans for a social tariff, and there isn’t anything in place now. However if you are interested in finding out more about saving energy and whether any benefits are available to you we do have specialist departments that will be happy to talk to you.

I really think that seeing these current prices through till they end is the best thing at the moment. Also it’s really good to hear positives about our online facility and the service you’ve received, thanks! :T

Thanks Brian, (see? always a e-on rep there when you need help)

I guess it's just a case of wait and see?

Can you confirm which tariff the capped lecky will revert back to after it runs out?

I've also noticed that the gas pence per unit is not the same as your advertised price on the website.(not as much) is this a regional thing or am I treated special..lol

I'm sorry to hear you have no plans for a social tarriff as this decsision (oh hell who needs to spell correctly) reflects the attitude of the company as a whole...and not a good one either.

do you have any thoughts on the last point Brian?

    Hi Roger,

If there is a Capped tariff available you would be put on to the new version, if not the standard prices. You seem nice and organised and you know when it’s due to come to an end so you’ll be ready to find something new. All customers will receive a letter any way to advise them about the tariff ending. :)

The gas price issue is difficult without knowing your area and the actual price you are referring to and what your comparing it to, if is definitely the same tariff?

I don’t think there is no option of a ‘social tariff’ however it’s the finer points of whom and under what circumstances it would apply. The company invest a lot into helping ‘vulnerable customers’ and can help with providing information about additional entitlements.

Like I said before call and see if there is anything available to your particular circumstances, I always say that there is no harm in asking! ;)
