I Like Asda.s frozen mash too. Stir in a bit of butter and season and you wouldn't know any different. Prefer to Aunt Bessie's but will try iceland

I understand there is a market for ready meals, but a single ingredient like potatoes is ridiculous IMHO.

It takes minutes to peel spuds, then you can do the rest of the cooking whilst they are boiling away. How much taste and how many nutrients are lost in this process?

Or do they add E numbers and flavours to replace the real taste of spuds, grown locally?

It is cheaper to microwave frozen mash than boil potatoes.
Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.
  • I agree with richardw - it is cheaper to microwave some frozen mash than boil potatoes on the hob. Which is why I recommended it.
All natural ingredients and no added E numbers. I wouldnt have suggested it otherwise.
