Iceland Frozen Mash

Have to recommend it.

£1 for a kilo......delicious. No peeling, no boiling, no mashing.
Home made leek and potato soup in about 10 minutes.

Can not complain at that price, but must say the leek and potato ready done veg currently at Asda for £1 makes a lovely lovely soup.

Guilty as charged - I love "Smash" and frozen mash too! When you're buying for one it sometimes makes sense to buy readymade potato - no waste.

Asda's frozen mash is 59p and it's better than any of the others I've tried. I still prefer homemade mash but it's handy to have some bags in the freezer.

I make my own mash and freeze it in plastic containers. Cheaper, healthier, and real. But I also grow the potatoes:p

I prefer the Iceland to Auntie Bessie's mash. Lot cheaper, and without the Delia boost that AB got it's stayed cheaper too!

How do you heat it up without getting the top dried out? Do you microwave it or put it in the saucepan with a bit of butter?
