Hi,

I am working full time, however doing a course part time of a night.

My husband and I currently have a mortgage, and he is also working full time.

Am I entitled to any reductions/ help at all?

Any help would be appreciated?

Thanks

What sort of course are you doing and what qualifications do you already have?

I only have GCSE's so far. Doing ACCA, to be a qualified accountant hopefully. costs are fairly high :(

Hi, was wondering if anyone could help?
The thing is, Work was originally paying for this course, now due to the credit crunch, they can no longer afford it, and therefore I need to try and find the funds! Is there any grants or anything I could poss get?

    Thanks

I think that you should have a word with the Student Services/Welfare Officer at your college as the situation can vary between colleges and many charitable trusts only operate locally.

I think it's unlikely you will be entitled to many of the student finance schemes as you and your husband are in full time work and therefore have not reduced your income by your studying, even though your outgoings have been increased by tuition fees. Have you tried to apply for a career development loan? You have to pay it back but only after your studies have ended and while studying the interest is paid by the LSC.
HERE is a link to a government website explaining CDLs alongside other funding strands you may be able to tap into.
