Why use Landi or light in the box?

Thanks sugarspun. It is nice to hear of success stories, so thanks for mentioning this.0

I'm not buying my wedding dress from these sites for many of the reasons mentioned but mainly because I want to try before I buy. However I am getting my bridesmaids dresses from Light in the box, they are about £50 each for simple a-line dresses with minimal if any boning. So I think it is less of a risk. I will check them very carefully.
I would have loved to have had them made in the uk, because I thought the dresses in bridal shops were over priced for the quality you got. However I struggled to find a seamstress and also struggled to source fabric.
We have a designer/tailor making my mum's outfit and she quoted £200 for a proper corsetted dress which I think is great, but not what I wanted. She would have done what I wanted for £150 I don't begrudge her that because she is very talented and should obviously be paid a suitable hourly rate. I just wanted a seamstress do make something up, and to be able to find nice fabric.
I would have been happy with a price tag of £100 if it supported local business.
If you do this sort of thing I would recommend getting yourself a good website that is easily found on google, listing on some wedding websites and local directories as I am sure you will get plenty of business.0
