The lodger has already posted - read it in January. If I knew how to quote I would add it in but search for molong and thread 'urgent, landlady slinging me out friday. I don't think he had much sympathy in the thread and he admits to using the phone and the towels and hogging the bathroom etc. Could be useful to readI am a Mortgage Adviser

OP should print out his thread0

Letting complete strangers live in your house for money. What could go wrong!
Edit: more helpfully I dont think lodgers really have any rights as "licensed tenants", so the court will probably not award any great sums to either side. Depends who they believe. I doubt your sister has any contractural right to enforce 6 months of residency with no contract and no idea what she was doing when she wrote out terms.
If youre going to rent out rooms in your home to other people as a landlord you should really check out the legal side of things before they move in.
It seems a shame for the other tenants. I have a friend whos lived in an HMO for years and if theres any bother with a new tenant upsetting the old ones the landlord has them out so fast their feet dont touch.0 -
What a lovely bloke, your sister is well rid of him.
I love post #73 in the other thread from spirit: "Molong. please show your landlady this thread so she can see what reasonable human beings think of your behavior." :rotfl:0 -
Yep, the OP would be helping her case by printing out the other thread.
Its blumming hilarious in places:rotfl:make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I thought the same - has to be the same guy, although I'm not sure how useful it will be as evidence since it's hardly possible to prove it's him, on an anonymous internet forum?
I admit, I'm somewhat grateful to hear news of what became of Molong, the nosy side of me was curious :rotfl: I originally thought it was a windup, and I'm wondering if this is part two of the same? If not, then I can't imagine that the ex-landlady has anything to worry about in court. This bloke clearly lives in a parallel universe where he's right and everyone else is wrong, and nobody in authority will take him seriously.0 -
I think there are two sides to every story. If you take a happy medium between Molong's thread and this one; you're left with a difficult situation with an inconsiderate lodger made a lot worse by an unprofessional landlady.0

Actually there don't seem to be two sides to this one since Molong's version was pretty much identical to this one - he just couldn't see that there was anything wrong with his behaviour!
I'm pretty sure this is another windup though. This poster joined the site just around the time that Molong posted his thread, and has hardly posted at all since then. Bit too much of a coincidence, especially given how improbable the whole thing was in the first place. Very entertaining though :rotfl:0
