Snaggles - I would say 20 minutes at gas mark 5 for a medium sized piece of fish. Look for the bacon crisping up. Stretch the bacon out if you can. You can also pan fry with butter/olive oil, will take half the time.
Thank you hunny - the oven idea appeals to me because I ALWAYS burn anything I try to pan fry. When I had it, the bacon was cooked but not really crisp - would be nice if I could perfect the art of getting the bacon slightly crisp without overcooking the fish. :)

It tastes absolutely gorgeous, so I'm determined to get it right! :D

I would do it in the oven then. After 15 minutes, take it out and just pop it in a pan with a mix of a bit of butter and oil. Should crisp up nicely after a minute or so each side.

Sammy - are they the really big baking potato ones? I do those for about 5 mins in the microwave and then into a hot oven. I stick a knife into them to check they're almost done before I put them in the oven.
