I was in Exeter services and we did have chips( bloomin awful ones they were too) served by a Polish chap who didn't understand what gravy was.. he kept saying GrabyI wish Peter Kay had been there...
When i said it was used to stop chips from drying up ( sarcastically)he looked at the chips and said they were already dry..and then wondered why i couldn't stop laughing.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Gravy is definitely a northern thing. I love gravy on chips but don't think many do it down here. The only respite from this is the pea fritter which seems to be a southern thing - i'd never heard of them before I moved here.
Scraps - also a northern thing. As are decent fishcakes."Stay Wonky":D

When I get motivated and positive (thanks SAmmy and Lou) I get things done down here and the day goes a lot faster then when I sit on my backside getting miserable.
However, on a quiet day, there is only so much I can do.
Can anone think of ways I could spend the quiet times doing something to bring in more income? You used to be able to stuff envelopes but machines do that now.
Just a thought.

I have also decided today that the only moaning I am going to do from now on is in the bedroom;)
I do a lot of moaning in the bedroom..but have already told everyone about Mr.B's snoring:rotfl: :rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Don't mind pea fritters, scraps are great and fishcakes:drool: I actually just prefer salt and vinegar unless the chips are awful then you need gravy:rotfl:
I think it depends on the oil used on the chips..but as i rarely eat them now it makes no odds.:oBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
