Bring the colour back to our toilet

Anyone know of anything I can pour down the loo to bring it back to it's original colour. I hasten to add that the discolouring would appear to be water related (greyish tinge to bowl).

Ours was discoloured when we moved here and I tried all kinds of heavy duty pruducts to remove it but nothing seemed to be working. When I then bought plain old supermarket own brand bleach instead of toilet cleaner to clean the toilet the stains miraculously vanished and haven't come back!0

Ditto. Bleach does it every time.Don't buy the Sun.0

Apparently coca cola is supposed to be good - Kim and Aggie tip. Just pour it down and leave a good while. Cheap brand just as good as big names. Don't know why but I saw it work on one of their shoes PS I am not implying that your home is in need of one of their makeovers!!!!!!0

Use ordinary cheap liquid bleach...the sort you can get for 20p or so a bottle.
Pour it into the toilet & let it stand over night.
Some of the thick gel like bleach products on the market don't seem to remove stains as good as the cheap stuff!0 -
i think i heard about using a cheap bottle of coca cola
empty as much of the water out, by using the loo brush.
empty the coke into the loo....... and leave overnight
in the morning, flush the loo.......smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

You say the bowl has a greyish tinge. Iv'e seen this in a sink before. The shiny part of the porcelain was chipped so water was in contact with the stuff the bowl was made of (under the shiny topcoat) and darkened it. If your bowl isn't chipped then I'd echo everyone elses advice of using cheap coke or bleach. Personally I use Harpic tablets which you drop into the bowl and leave overnight. They are very good.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
I am sure I saw somewhere that you could use denture tablets , left overnight and it would tackle the stains .....now where did i see that ??0

All of this will work. If it is a limescale coating a pumice stone or plain and simple vinegar will do the trick.0

Get a new loo fitted. They're not as much as you think0
