Hi Everyone,

Been with them a few years and had no problems. Now part of the Scottish and Southern group. Excellent customer service (from my experience). The yearly cashback is good. I'd recommend them.Steve0

I've been with Atlantic also for a few years with no problems0

My experience is similar to the comments posted above. You may have to remind them about your annual loyalty bonus payment, which is worth 8.3% discount, although that problem may have just been caused when they became part of the Scottish & Southern group accounts. You can provide your own reading using a freephone number or use their online account.
See http://www.atlanticeg.com/ for more info.
If their prices are good for you, go for it.

Thank you all for your replies. Sounds very encouraging. One further question and this may apply to all suppliers with dual account for gas and electric.
I would like to have separate accounts in my partner's name and mine. Ideally, I would like the electric in my partner's name and gas in mine. Reason being is so that we have some proof of residence for opening bank accounts etc. Does any one know if you can have the bills sent separately but still qualify for the dual supply discount?0 -
I pay my electric and gas by direct debit. I was going to change to Atlantic before xmas but when they estimated my DD payments they wanted to take £30 per month more off me than I was paying before with British Gas. I know you get it back in the end if you dont use that much gas but thats not the point. Then I received a phone from BG asking me to stay with them and they offered me a £56 discount plus 13% off my bills if I stay with them so I said yes.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Im with Atlantic and have had no problems @ all!, always the saver i was thinking of going to Npower, the sign online tariff as recomended by price comparison sites, low and behold on Npower's website yes indeed i could save 90 odd pounds a year if i swiched, so i decided to do a price comparison on the Atlantic website feeding in Npower's better tariff prices, low and behold Atlantic came up with a better offer of £19 over the year! thats over £100 less than im paying now to Atlantic! So doing price comparisons on Utilities own website is a complete waste of time in my eyes. My gut feeling is Npower is cheaper. Will wait till July get my one month rebate and then look again.

I've recently switched to Atlantic and haven't had any trouble yet. I'm on a fixed monthly direct debit and had been warned by people that companies will get their estimates wildly wrong and it'd be hassle to change the amounts. So far i've changed my amount twice, and i've only been with them two months. First time i just said: "that's too much, make it xx", and the next time the chap on the phone did the sums for me re roughly how much i'd have paid over a year, and advised i should maybe change it up a bit, but let me choose how much.
so far, so good...

Iv'e had really positive experiences with Atlantic too. Recently got in helluver mess when the meter was changed but subcontracters hadn't reported it or the readings. Not Atlantics fault. Obviously bills were all wrong and no idea of readings for four month period. They couldn't have been more helpful when I got to right office. Result was 5 months free electric, great help with monitoring, personal and user friendly ongoing assistance. As long as they stay competitive I won't be moving!0

I'm happy with them too. They always seem to be one of the cheapest for my area (SWEB) and they effectively let me choose my D/D amount. Over the past couple of years that has proved to be an underestimate but they never ask me to increase. OK, so one day I'll have to make up the difference but until then ... better in my pocket than theirs.0
