Problems with Whirlpool dryer

I bought a Whirlpool package in November, the American style LEQ8033 dryer and LSQ8033 washer.

Just after New Year the dryer broke down, the engineer said the part was not in stock and eventually told me it would not be available until late april. At this point, I demanded a new machine.

The engineer said the old models were brilliant and lasted 10 years minimum, but they updated and now it's rubbish. The men who came to remove it said they are always collecting them.

So, the new one came last week (all that time with no dryer and a 1 year old....) and yesterday it packed in again. The engineer said that some industrial places had these machines on all day every day whereas I use it about 5 times a week max.

So, what do I do? Demand a refund?
