Am I too late for the DD coming out tomorrow?

Hiya!
Hoping someone can reassure me here!
I have a Bank of Scotland account, and have just remembered that a DD is coming out tomorrow, and that there isnt enough cleared funds in the account now! Total Oversight on my part, so stupid!
Anyway I have just transferred more than enough money from my other account into the DD account to cover it tomorrow, but will it be too late now?
The internal transfer is showing as 15th March 09, but will this count? As I know it always has to be in the working day beforehand at close of buisness, which would have been friday....there was enough in on friday at 5pm, but i used the wrong card yesterday and spent out of the DD account! Duh!
Please no remarks about how stupid I am, I know that, and it was purely a one off mistake, and I am usually very carefull about these things!
Thanks

It depends. Some banks will not charge if you pay in on the day that a D/D or other payment is debited to the account.
My advice is to phone them first thing in the morning to see what they say.0 -
Thanks!
I should be able to see the DD come out tomorrow if the internal transfer has worked, I can usually see them before 9am, so I will check it out tomorrow before I go to work, and if it hasnt worked I'll just have to phone them and plead my case!
I feel such a t*t for forgetting!0 -
I presume they work as Halifax ..... who run a full blooded Batch run on a Sunday night. As a consequence they don't 'reserve' funds for DDs coming out Monday .... so you should be OK.
Where I've had 2 x £500 coming out for a Reg Saver on the Monday - I've moved the funds in on the Sunday, without any ill effect (although I do have an unused overdraft that would cover .... which I recommend). If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Thanks!
