:jThank you so much for your help. I have been running in circles with Reg Vardy and Pendragon and if your post hadn't been up I would never have known. Axa has confirmed they also have my PPI and are processing a claim. Fingers crossed:j:rotfl:
PS my PPI was from 1999 to early 2000's so I think earlier PPI claims would also be worth a call to AXA. It was hard tracing their PPI team but if you call Axa's head office and ask them to put you through to their PPI claims team, hopefully you'll get through.
Shamelessly Peter Vardy Motors claims they are no longer the same company and nothing to do with Reg Vardy. Bit of a joke as Peter Vardy is Reg Vardys son, so all they have done is transfer a new company to him and sold the old one on with old loans and PPI book to Pendragon (probably to get rid of exposed debt issues, but clearly for commercial advantage).
So the company is still in the family, but they aren't interested in looking after their customers in any way.. although Peter Vardy was happy for his dad to pay his Loretto school fees via Reg Vardy Motors back in the day...0 -
Does anyone know who their Reg Vardy loan was with? Particularly interested in early 2000's as I cant locate my loan company. Any help much appreciated.:rotfl:0

Peter Vardy Ltd is nothing to do with Reg Vardy Ltd.
Pendragon bought Reg Vardy after they made an unsolicited bid, Chairman at the time Peter Vardy sold all his shares (a 16% holding) after irrevocably agreeing the bid at 800p a share only to find Lookers putting in a higher bid followed by Pendragon making a final offer of 900p a share which was accepted by the remaining majority shareholders.
Peter must have been kicking himself to have sold out at 800p, losing out on £9.3 million, leaving him with just £74.4 million from the sale.
Complaining to Peter Vardy Ltd about a sale by Reg Vardy is as pointless as complaining to Toolstation about a drill you bought from Screwfix.
Because Pendragon bought Reg Vardy via a takeover bid it's a legal requirement they take over all responsibility for past sales unlike the situation when they bought the assets only of the defunct Dixons car firm and can decline any responsibility.0 -

As already said send your complaint to Pendragon as per post 10
Reg Vardy would have used umpteen different lenders anyway.0 -
