is that another euphemism?
(racking brains trying to remember student story which Valli will find and e -mail to Toots one day...)
On a similar vein when I met my hubby he already had 'one' - he had lived with a girl...I declined his 'kind' offer to 'share' it with me and suggested he get rid.
He passed it onto his brother!
Now the bin is the ONLY place for some things IMHO!
Incidentally having visited sis and BIL - with the kids - we had taken the electric toothbrush and the d**m thing had switched on in the bag as we were preparing to leave and I had to get it out to show them (and switch it off) as I could not bear the idea of them NOT believing it was a toothbrush that was buzzing away in my bag...:oDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Valli - I am ashamed to say that I have a pile, yes a pile of ironing to do:o In fact there must be at least 10 x 15 items to do:o:eek::o
However I did declutter the peg bucket today and it appears that I'll have top buy some pretty new ones. Alot had gone rusty you see where they'd been left out in the bucket and it has rained alot. So what am I to doIt would be rude to not buy new ones wouldn't it:p
Toots - I'm so pleased you didn't put me on the sane list:D:D:D:D Hope your around tomorrow. I might just venture a HHC or two;)

Good evening ladies and gents, welcome newbies; you've certainly joined when everyones in fine fettle!
I logged on at 8pm to tell you all about my gardening and my flying for today and have spent two hours catching up on the threads and pmsl - not literally as Ive done my pelvic floor exercises!! tyvm!! Rabbits and contraptions and the likes - and i was worried about offending you lot!!! :rotfl:
Id love it if there was a meet up but dont think i could make both. I would have my little one with me, as much as it would be nice to have a grown ups weekend, I wouldnt be able to do that. Perhaps one of the weekends kids could be allowed and i could come with littley? Southampton may be easier for me as its closer to South Wales but London is straight up the M4 i suppose so probably makes no difference!?
Id be happy to put up any of the flyladies in my beautiful new spare room which is now actually a spare room, or would travel with others if that helps, (cant remember who mentioned that - so it may not apply to the South meet, but the offer is there anyway!). Oh oh oh - if there is a Scottish meet can i come to that too?!?!?! I can swing by home hopefully at the same time and littley can visit Granparents....:D
(and the mother of the year award goes to........!)
Re my BF and some of you saying that you like my style with my new BF - he isnt new, we have been seeing each other for two years......which is the problem, you would think he would learn. Problem is he was married to someone for years that was more like his mother than his wife, but hes learning slowly but surely - I aint she!! Bless him, Im not painting a good picture, but then you only get to hear my moans really! Its just not a good time at the minute, but we will get there!
Oh and gues what!!!!!!!!!!!! I discovered why my whirly was suddenly lopsided!! I thought that it had just dislodged or whatever and needed to be put right!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
My garden is 'stepped' (not sure how to describe it) and the driveway is the highest level, one step down from that there is the grass and my whirly, then the next down is the patio.......anyway the chief messmaker - aka DS - thought it was a good idea to stand on the end of the drive and lauch himself at the whirly, grab on with both hands and whirl around on it!!!
Its true what they say, if something goes wrong in your house.....one of your kids did it.
:rolleyes:Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying
